Cinderella ballet

Join the Lincoln Midwest Ballet Company (LMBC) as it presents "Cinderella," at McDonald Theatre on the Nebraska Wesleyan University campus. The cast of Cinderella is made up local dancers selected by audition. The role of Cinderella will be danced by Rachel Dowd, a senior at Lincoln Southwest. Guest Artist, Adrian Fry, of Ballet West, will perform the role of the Prince. The wicked stepsisters will be played by Robert Wamsley and Michael Corner, who are well-known to Lincoln theater audiences. The artistic director of the Lincoln Midwest Ballet Company's Cinderella production is Shari True and the ballet mistress and the choreographer is Racheal Hummel.

The LMBC's production of Cinderella is a unique opportunity for more than 70 dancers from southeastern Nebraska to be involved in a professional-quality ballet performance, and the classic fairy tale is sure to delight audiences of all ages.

Nebraska Wesleyan University Step Show Competition

Nebraska Wesleyan University will host its eighth annual award-winning step show competition on Saturday, November 19.

This year’s step show theme is “A Step Back Into The Past: Honoring the Historical Traditions of African American and Latino Fraternities and Sororities.” The show will feature college and high school step teams who will compete for over $2,000 in cash prizes.

Marginalia @ 40

Marginalia @ 40 is an evening of dance works created by Mr. Kubert over the course of his 20-year career in New York and around the world. It features original dance and theatre works, including on that draws on the vaudeville tradition of Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton.

The performers include some of Lincoln’s most prolific dancers and actors, including Mr. Kubert, Dustin Witte, Vivian Kim, Stacy Leo, Bret Olsen, Corey McKenna, Sid Saythongphet, Beth Jensen, Alec Talbott and guest star, Elizabeth Govaerts.
