Mission, vision statements, and core values

Our mission, vision statements, and core values are the driving force behind what we do.

History

The LAC began in 1968 when a small group of community members gathered together with a common passion for the arts in Lincoln. They formed an organization whose rich history of arts services and programs continues to evolve and meet the growing needs of arts organizations, artists and the community. The LAC was designated in 2006 as the City of Lincoln's agency for the arts by Mayoral Executive Order.

Services

Our services and programs assist Lincoln's talented artists and organizations in the work of enriching our community.

Staff and Board

The LAC has a dedicated board of directors who are supported by a professional staff. Our goal is to work together for the betterment of our community through the arts.

    Special Thanks

In 2009 the Lincoln Arts Council received a generous gift from the estate of Ken Good, a portion of which was used to redevelop our website and establish an endowment. We offer our heart-felt thanks to Kenneth J. Good for his generosity and vision for a beautiful future.
